Spectrum Sounds was founded in 1994 by me, Michael A. LaMarca. I worked for another company for 6 years before venturing out on my own. I had a vision and made a promise to provide my customers with the highest level of professionalism and service that could be found in this industry. We make our music services a standard while others made them “add-ons.” We understand the importance of the day and know we only have one opportunity to make a client’s day the very best. There are no “do-overs.” We don’t have a second chance to make it the most amazing event they could dream of. In 2016, Jay and I became business partners in Spectrum Sounds, and he elevated the business to a new level. Our combined experience, talents, personalities, dedication to high-quality service, integrity, and professionalism created an entirely new DJ company combining the traditional with a modern flair.
Adam
DJ
Adam has been DJing, rocking crowds, and melting faces since 2002. The first CD, yes CD, he ever owned was Busta Rhymes ‘The Coming’. He is a Motley Crue superfan, but we have yet to see any proof of mullets or spandex. When asked about his hobbies, Adam said ‘tattoos and rock n’ roll’. Adam would love to be your DJ!

I was born and raised in Clayton, NY in the beautiful 1000 Islands. I am a SUNY Potsdam graduate with a degree in Childhood Education and have worked in the service industry for over 16 years as well as entertained as a DJ for over 6 years. I am a lifelong music enthusiast who is always conscious of the atmosphere with both an eclectic taste in music and an appreciation for entertainment. My passion for music and how it connects people is what motivates me to continue to pursue this field.
Anthony

Anthony was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He spent 10 years in radio broadcasting working with legends such as Yo MTV Raps host Ed Lover & Doctor Dre, RuPaul & Michelle Visage, as well as comedian George Wallace. His travels took him all over the country, from New York City, Philadelphia, Miami, Denver, and finally to Rochester to join the Brother Wease Show.
These days, DJ Cruz is a part of the Democrat & Chronicle 2022 Community Choice Award winner for Best of Rochester DJ – Event/Wedding team at Spectrum Sounds bringing his wealth of music knowledge and the absolute joy of entertaining people. It is one of his greatest joys to make sure that every event, wedding, or party is a memorable one.
Lydia
Photo Booth Event Manager
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, she has been working for Spectrum Sounds since 2018. Her primary role is Photo Booth Manager and she also works as a qualified DJ Assistant. Lydia grew up competitively dancing, remaining involved in that industry and also works as a NYS Licensed Insurance professional.
Her background, experience in the business professional world along with the events industry, and passion to our team and clients results in a lasting positive impact to all she has the pleasure to work with.
Lynnette
Event and Booking Manager
Lynnette was Born and raised in the city of Rochester, NY, she has been working for Spectrum Sounds since 2018. Her primary role is Event and Booking Coordinator and also serves as a Licensed Officiant performing weddings, writing the ceremonies and working close with the couples. Officiating is what brings Lynnette joy and satisfaction to be a part of the couple’s special day.
Lynnette Graduated from RIT with a bachelors degree in business management. She and her husband Lou moved to North Greece when they married and raised four beautiful children. Lynnette and Lou have 5 beautiful grandchildren and look forward to more. Once her youngest started school Lynnette was hired by the Town of Greece and has worked as a management assistant since 1998. Lynnette enjoys working with couples and loves helping to shape their most special day into a day to remember.

The abiltity to interact, connect, and provide memories for our clients is why I love what we do! Music has always been a passion of mine, I enjoy all genres which helps me individualize each event, stay relevant to the latest trends, and easily tailor to the audience!
I have been a DJ for over 10 years, it has given me the opportunity to meet some really great people, experience a lot of what Rochester and the surrounding areas have to offer, from the venues and vendors to the breathtaking views! When I am not working or DJing, you can usually catch me spending time with my wife and three little kids, or out on one of many local lakes bass fishing!
Raffaele

“It was all a dream!” … Raff started DJing fraternity and sorority parties while attending RIT back in the mid-90s. From there, word spread like wildfire, and soon, was DJing for local bars and clubs in the area. After graduating college, he decided to stop DJing full time, and start his career in the security industry.
During this time, Raff would be attending friends’ wedding after friend’s wedding, and what he noticed, was that DJ’s were playing the same old songs at almost every wedding, and most, were not even paying close attention to the guests, and seeing what was working, and more importantly, what was not. Seemed like they really didn’t care if people were dancing or not, and thus, just there to be there. And what was even worse, is that all the wedding were pretty much the same, nothing stood out.
After a few years of having to witness a “typical wedding DJ”, Raff decided to get back in the business in 2006 and focusing on being a difference maker in the wedding DJ industry by not being that “cheesy wedding DJ” who is trying to take over your day.
Since then, Raff has made it his passion to work closely with couples, not only understand what their vision was for their event, but even more, what they do not want. He strives to make sure your guests do not feel like they are not attending “just another typical wedding”, but yet, to one of the most unforgettable parties they’ve ever been too.
Raff will guide you through every little planning detail surrounding your dream wedding, including discussing what may and may not work, based on your overall ideas. From the first pre-ceremony music while you guests arrive, to cocktail hour, dinner, dance, and grand finale of the night, Raff will be working closely with you to make sure all bases are covered, so that you have nothing to worry about, other than to relax and enjoy your moment.
What you will get from Raff is a level of comfort like no other, no cheesy “wedding DJ” voice, or commentary. For him, it’s about reading your crowd from the moment they arrive at your venue, putting together a mental soundtrack, to ensure everyone from your 90-yr old grandmother, to your “still got it parents”, your long-time friends, and your little 4-yr nieces and nephews, have a memorable and existing night out. Afterall, your wedding is a celebration of not only your new lives together but sharing of your celebration with the close family and friend who are honored to be a part of it. Raff DJ style encompasses a variety of genres, from the 1940’s to the current Top 40’s, including old school hip hop, 80’s metal bands, classical to jazz, 2000’s alternative, country, pop, EDM, and today’s mashups and remixes…. a true veteran of the Rochester wedding scene, Raff will not disappoint!

From West Irondequoit, NY Sarah brings with her a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY Potsdam and her career has brought her to her current role as a Senior Account Manager for Transcat, Inc. working in their Power Generation division. She is also a Home Health Aide allowing her to be able to care for her sister.
Sarah enjoys helping others, meeting new people and staying active which lead her to join our team in 2022. Sarah brings the team an abundance of ideas and positivity, being a great asset to our team members and clients. When Sarah is not working you can find her enjoying quality time with her two rescue dogs; Axel and Hank.

This guy was born to bring the party! Growing up in the 20th century, Colin honed his skills as a DJ on a pair of turntables, spinning vinyl records in clubs and warehouses all over the country. For over two decades his unique blend of music and ability to mix just the right track kept dance floors sweaty 'til the sun came up.
After settling down in the suburbs of Rochester NY, today he and his loving wife are raising two amazing kids. The itch to entertain and elevate persists however, and he has found a new calling; providing energy and excitement to your most special day.
When you book Colin, you can count on an entertainer that is diverse and capable of reading any crowd. Bringing top notch sound along with a tremendous variety of genres and styles, Colin keeps the focus on what is most important - YOU!

With over 20 years experience in the hospitality and customer service industry, Erin has exactly what it takes to get you smiling! Her upbeat nature and infectious laugh is sure to prime your guests for an amazing scrapbook of good times. She has an uncanny ability to make people feel comfortable and an energy that can lift any spirit to new heights.
Erin prides herself in her dependability. Always thorough and prepared, you can count on everything going smoothly from start to finish. Her favorite part of operating a photo booth is being able to document the pure joy and excitement of such an important occasion. All you need to do is smile!
